GT’s Spencer Johnson has suggested that if David Miller misses their upcoming game against RR, he is likely to return in their next game against DC.
The Gujarat Titans are on the road once again and go up against the undefeated Rajasthan Royals at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur on April 10. A notable absence on GT’s side is that of the middle-order batter, David Miller who has been a crucial member of the side since making the move in 2022. He had picked up a niggle following the game against the Sunrisers Hyderabad but his team-mate Spencer Johnson has provided an update on his potential return.
Speaking at the pre-match press conference ahead of their match against RR, Johnson suggested that Miller could be available for their next game which is against Delhi Capitals at home. He said,” Davy, I think he is not too far away (from return). Even if he misses this one, he will be available for the next one”.
Coincidentally, in the previous two games where Miller has not played, GT was unable to get a win and now faces the uphill task of taking on the undefeated Royals who are on a roll and have a dominant record in Jaipur.

“Couple of disappointing performances in last couple of games but in last couple of years, we have shown how good a side we are,” added the Aussie pacer.
The Australian international recognises the challenge of taking on a dominant RR side that has all their facets covered but looks at the potential upside the team could have in beating one of the top sides in the tournament.

“When you come to Rajasthan Royals’ home, it is not easy as Royals have won four on 4, we are looking to knock them off, how hard it is to win away games, but a couple of points here, goes a long way giving confidence going into our next two home games,” Johnson concluded.

The Titans are currently sitting at seventh in the points table having lost three of the five games played and will have to make do without the services of their key middle-order batter against RR. A win will be crucial for the side to make some progress to improve their chances of a playoff spot.
