Mohammad Nabi’s son whipped out the helicopter shot off his dad’s bowling in a video which has gone viral.

The mood in the Mumbai Indians’ camp is very positive as they picked up their first points of the season by beating Delhi Capitals at the Wankhede Stadium on Sunday. They are now gearing up to take on Royal Challengers Bengaluru at home tomorrow and Mohammad Nabi was seen spending some time with his son.

Ahead of the clash with RCB, Nabi was seen bowling against his son on the ground and his son was seen looking to go for the iconic helicopter shot which even put a smile on the veteran’s face.

The experienced campaigner from Afghanistan will look to bring in the positive energy for their next game as well. He was included in the XI for the first time against DC. He was not involved with the bat but had a handy contribution with the ball where he gave away just 17 runs in his two overs during a high-scoring game where both sides were able to get past the 200-run mark.

Nabi can be a handful with both bat and ball. His experience playing in the T20 format and across various franchise leagues will be something MI find useful as they go through the season. He has the power-hitting capabilities to deliver a sizeable contribution with the bat and can use his off-spin to boost the already weak spin attack in MI’s squad.

So far, MI have just the solitary win in the 2024 season. But they will look to pick up on that as they aim to make it another and get back in contention for a spot in the top four following a disastrous start to the season.

The return of Suryakumar Yadav will also be a big boost for the side as they were missing his ability to attack all parts of the ground while also scoring big runs consistently which has put him up as the number one ranked T20I batter.

The veteran will look to get as much game time as possible with MI as he aims to get the most practice ahead of Afghanistan’s campaign at the upcoming T20 World Cup which begins in June.
