Tushar Deshpande revealed MS Dhoni’s chat with Ravindra Jadeja before coming out to bat against KKR.
The fans at the M.A Chidambaram Stadium were given a dominant performance by the Chennai Super Kings who got their third win of the season by beating Kolkata Knight Riders by seven wickets and 14 balls to spare. Following the game, pacer Tushar Deshpande shared some insights as to what went down when Ravindra Jadeja and MS Dhoni had played a small prank on the fans at the home ground.
Following Shivam Dube’s dismissal in the second innings, fans for a brief moment were left confused as Jadeja walked out to bat. However, their expectations came to reality as they were able to see Dhoni come out to bat in the middle and the side went on to pick up the win.
Deshpande who in a video interview uploaded to IPL’s official website revealed, “I mean they had discussed this earlier. MS Dhoni told Jaddu that you will go out first but I will be batting. I overheard that conversation”.

Jadeja had also spoken where he mentioned that he just wanted to make it all worth it for the fans who have spent their hard-earned money to watch them play.
He said,” That was just a glimpse of me I had shown. For those who have bought the tickets and come here at least we can give value for their money (laughs)”.
Following the win, CSK are now at fourth spot in the table having won three of their five games in the season so far. A big concern for the side will be their performances away from home. Their losses have all been in away games which will be something the side will be working on behind the scenes as they look to clinch the title once again.
They face their biggest rivals Mumbai Indians in their next game where they will play at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on April 14. Both sides will be eager to get the win as they aim to take the lead to be the most successful side in the tournament with a record sixth title,
